The Marvel Cinematic Universe is gearing up for another powerful collaboration Avengers: Judgment Day. According to Hollywood scooper Daniel Richtman, fan-favorite characters Deadpool and Wolverine could make their next MCU appearance in the next Avengers film.
While Marvel has not confirmed the rumor, the potential inclusion of Ryan Reynolds AND Hugh Jackmann in the 2026 blockbuster set the internet ablaze with speculation.
In his Patreon newsletter, Richtman wrote: “I hear Deadpool and Wolverine will play a role Judgment Day.” While he didn’t offer any further details, the thought of Deadpool and Wolverine joining forces with the Avengers team is sure to excite fans.
If this is true, you can bet we’ll see Deadpool and Wolverine fighting Doctor Doom alongside several other Avengers! Then we can watch Doctor Doom erase them all.
It’s also not hard to imagine Deadpool making a few jokes about Iron Man star Robert Downey Jr. as Doctor Doom.
This isn’t the first time fans have speculated about the duo’s future in the MCU. When previously asked if he would return to the MCU as Deadpool, Ryan Reynolds said:
“I’m not even cautious. We’ll see what happens there. In an earlier conversation he expressed confidence in Marvel’s leadership, saying, “Deadpool works so well appearing with the X-Men and the Avengers.”
Reynolds also said: Reynolds said, “I see Deadpool as a supporting character much more than a main character.” [character] or in the center.
“Sometimes we hit it because they want, that’s what they want. But you can’t hit it unless you take everything away from it. You have to create a situation where he is the loser. And I don’t think I can do it again.”
The scope of Avengers: Judgment Day it’s already huge. The film will not only feature Downey Jr. as Doctor Doom, but Chris Evans will also return as Steve Rogers. Then there are a bunch of other characters that are rumored to be joining, and it will be awesome to see them fight Doom.
If these reports are true, Avengers: Judgment Day is shaping up to be one of the most ambitious entries in the MCU, promising all the Marvel action you could ask for and plenty of fan-service moments.
