Netflix has released a trailer for its upcoming sci-fi series Cassandrawho comes from Germany. The story centers on AI helpers who end up having problems and going haywire.
“Cassandra sees everything, Cassandra hears everything, Cassandra is everywhere.” The synopsis reads: “The smart home technology system and its electronic home assistant, starring Lavinia Wilson – have been closed since the 1970s.
“When Samira (Mina Tander) and his family move into the empty house, little do they know that the reactivated system is not a harmless household helper.
“Cassandra has very specific ideas about how things should be and will not tolerate any mistakes. It combines an outdated worldview with dark intentions…
“Cassandra, determined never to be abandoned again, manipulates events by using the resources of the house to become part of the family.”
This seems like a well made series with a very dark and disturbing atmosphere.
The series is also the protagonist Michael Klammer, Franz Hartwig, Maria Tölle, Joshua Kantara, Elias GrunthalAND Philip Schnack.
Cassandra was written and directed by Benjamin Gutscheand will premiere on Netflix on February 6, 2025.
