A new one Terminator game, Terminator 2D: NO DESTINYwas leaked thanks to the website Australian Classification, causing some excitement among fans.
Developed and published by Reef Entertainment, the game is scheduled for release on major platforms, including PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC.
This new game marks Reef Entertainment’s return to the franchise following the 2019 release of Terminator: Resistance. Unlike its predecessor, which had Teyon as publisher, Reef Entertainment takes charge entirely of the development and publishing of Terminator 2D: NO DESTINY.
While specific gameplay details remain under wraps, the “2D” appearance suggests a departure from the first-person mechanics of Resistencepotentially offering a side-scrolling or retro-inspired experience.
For those who don’t know him Terminator: Resistanceexpanded the franchise’s narrative with an original story set nearly 30 years after Judgment Day.
Players took on the role of Jacob Rivers, a Resistance soldier fighting against Skynet in post-apocalyptic Los Angeles. The game also included the Annihilation line DLC, which paired Rivers with the iconic Kyle Reese on a mission to uncover the mystery behind a silent outpost.
Terminator: Resistance has built a devoted following for its faithful depiction of the franchise’s universe, and fans are eager to see how Reef Entertainment will approach it Terminator 2D: NO DESTINY.
