Gravitas Ventures has released the trailer for an upcoming indie horror film called When It Rains in LA, and the tagline reads: “It rarely rains in Los Angeles, but when it does, strange things happen…”
In the film “Sasha (Monroe Cline), a beautiful young woman from Eastern Europe, comes to Los Angeles seeking refuge and a new beginning after the sudden death of her elderly boyfriend (Eric Roberts).
“Leaving the life she knew behind, she reconnects with old friends in Los Angeles, hoping to escape the haunting memories of her past. But when the rain begins to fall, strange and disturbing events occur, forcing Sasha to confront the dark and mysterious forces around her.
“An enigmatic woman emerges from the shadows, forcing Sasha to reckon with a past she has tried to bury and forcing her to face the chilling truths she has long denied.”
The film comes from director David M. Parks and it doesn’t look very good. I love all the ridiculously fake rain used in the trailer, though.
When it rains in Los Angeles in select US theaters and on VOD starting January 3, 2025.
