Owen Wilson will star alongside the comedian Matt Rife in the upcoming R-rated father-son comedy Rolling hard.
The film is inspired by a true story set at the hip-hop festival of the same name, which is celebrating its tenth year.
Rolling hard follows “an overprotective father (Wilson) who makes the worst parenting decision of his life when he smuggles his 13-year-old son into the world’s largest hip-hop music festival.”
This kicks off “a chaotic adventure with his reckless colleague (Rife) and an eccentric festival volunteer as they navigate wild crowds, safety and family dynamics.”
The film comes from the writer and director Jeremy Garelick (High American) and kicked off production at the Miami festival last weekend.
This looks like it could be a fun comedy! It’s also exciting to see R-rated comedies returning to theaters. I just love the bold, unapologetic humor for adult audiences and the way they blend outrageous antics with heartfelt storytelling.
