MAYOR OF KINGSTOWN by Jeremy Renner renewed for season 4

Jeremy RennerParamount+’s hit series Mayor of Kingtown has been renewed for season 4. The news comes just months after the third season wrapped.

The American thriller series was co-created by Taylor Sheridan and Hugh Dillon. The show is set in Kingstown, Michigan, a fictional company town where the business is incarcerated.

The McLusky family has been keeping the peace in Kingstown for decades, acting as mediators between street gangs, prisoners, guards and cops.

Tackling themes of systemic racism, corruption and inequality, the series offers a raw look at their attempt to bring order and justice to a city that has neither.

In season three, “a series of explosions rocked Kingstown and its citizens, as a new face of the Russian mafia set up shop in town, and a war on drugs raged inside and outside the prison walls.

“The pressure was on Mike McLusky (Renner) to end the war, but things got complicated when a familiar face from his prison past threatened to undermine the mayor’s attempts to keep the peace between all the factions.”

When previously asked about the possibility of a fourth season, Renner said, “I have to finish the third season first. We’ll see if I can do it. I’ve loved being with this character and exploring him, and I always think there’s more.” . explore.

“When the world is set up so beautifully, as if it were Mayor of Kingstonand all the chess pieces are there, every time you play chess, it’s a new game. It’s like that with this one [show].

“The audience is just more engaged and invested in the characters, just like I am. I’ve only seen the first episode so I can’t wait to see the rest of the season. I don’t know half the things. I just focused on my part.”

I liked this show, so it’s nice to know we’ll get another season!
