Sony Pictures has released the first eight minutes of its next Marvel film Kraven the Hunter. This clip was originally played at New York Comic-Con for fans.
It features Kraven being transported with a group of prisoners across the cold, snowy Russian landscape to a prison in the middle of nowhere. He infiltrates a prison to eliminate a mafia boss.
It’s a strong, action-packed opening, and I like how Kraven is portrayed and how his super strength and agility are showcased.
Kraven the Hunter is the visceral, action-packed origin story of how and why one of Marvel’s most iconic villains came to be. Aaron Taylor-Johnson plays Kraven, a man whose complex relationship with his ruthless father, Nikolai Kravinoff (Russell Crowe), sets him on a path of vengeance with brutal consequences, motivating him to become not only the world’s greatest hunter, but also one of the most feared.
JC Chandor he is directing the film from a screenplay by Art Marco AND Matt Holloway (Iron Man), and is also the protagonist Ariana De Bose like Calypso, Russell Crowe as Nikolai Kravinoff, Fred Hechinger in the role of Chameleon, Alessandro Nivola like a bad stranger, Levi Miller, AND Capture-22 star Christopher Abbott as the main villain, The Foreigner.
Kraven the Hunter film in theaters nationwide on December 13, 2024.
