A new series entitled Off campus is coming to Amazon Prime Video, based on the romance book series by Elle Kennedy. Louise Levy (Death and other details, The flight attendant) will serve as showrunner of the series.
The first season of the show will be based on the first book, titled The agreementwhich was published in 2015. There are five “Off-Campus” books in total.
According to Prime Video, “A college-set romantic drama based on the best-selling book series, Off campus follows the unlikely love story between a wry, hockey-hating music major and Briar University’s playboy center.
“The series profiles the elite ice hockey team and the women in their lives as they grapple with love, heartbreak and self-discovery, creating deep friendships and lasting bonds as they navigate the complexities that come with transition to adulthood”.
Vernon Sanders, head of television at Amazon MGM Studios, said in a statement: “Elle Kennedy’s beloved series ‘Off Campus’ has resonated with a wide audience by tackling relatable topics, from self-discovery to the power of connection.
“With Louisa Levy leading our series alongside Temple Hill, Leanna and Neal, our Prime Video customers globally will fall in love with this story all over again.”
