20th Century Studios has released a fantastic trailer for the upcoming revenge thriller The amateurstarring the Oscar winner Rami Malek (Bohemian Rhapsody, Mr. Robot), with a large ensemble including Rachel Brosnahan, Caitriona Balfe, Jon Bernthal, Michael Stuhlbarg, Holt McCallany, Julianne Nicholson, Adriano Martinez, Danny SapaniAND Laurence Fishburne.
The film’s synopsis reads: “Charlie Heller (Rami Malek) is a brilliant but deeply introverted CIA codebreaker working in a basement office at Langley headquarters, whose life is turned upside down when his wife is killed in a terrorist attack on London.
“When his supervisors refuse to act, he takes matters into his own hands, embarking on a dangerous journey across the world to track down those responsible, using his intelligence as the ultimate weapon to evade his pursuers and exact his revenge.”
The film is directed by James Hawes (The 39 steps, A life, The challenger’s disaster, Slow horses), from a screenplay written by Ken Nolan AND Gary Spinellibased on the novel by Robert Littell.
This sounds like an excellent movie! I’m a huge fan of Malek, as well as many of the other cast members, and this film looks to tell an intriguing story that will truly engage film fans.
