Five years ago, it was reported that Sony was working on a film about Silver Sable. That news quickly turned into a plan to make a Silver Sable-led TV series instead.
After about a year, the project went back to the idea of a film and we didn’t hear anything about it for a long time. Then a year ago, Pet Seminar: Bloodlines co-writer and director, Lindsey Anderson Beer revealed that although she had been contracted to write the film at Sony, she walked away and the studio basically left it to die.
Director Gina Prince-Bythewood he had also previously abandoned the project that the studio had kept on the back burner. Now, there are rumors that a movie is back in the works, but let’s take this information with a grain of salt.
Daniele Richtmann is now reporting that a Silver sable the project is once again in the works, although we’re not sure if it will be for the big or small screen.
Silver and blackThe original synopsis of reportedly focused on Silvija Sablinova tracking down fugitive Felicia Hardy for the US Department of Justice. Spider-Man was not part of the script, but other characters such as Scorpion, Tarantula, Chameleon, Tombstone (and perhaps even Norman Osborn) would appear, and the story was said to lay the foundation for the formation of an entire race. women’s team which also included Spider-Woman, Jackpot, Stunner and Dusk.
Black Cat is one of the characters rumored to be introduced Spider-Man 4as it has been reported that casting is underway for a new female lead, which would leave Silver Sable free to lead her own project.
I’m not really sure why Sony keeps throwing money away on superhero projects that bomb at the box office, but it’s their money, so it doesn’t matter!
