New Marvel logo reveals first look at HERBIE from FANTASTIC 4: FIRST STEPS and more

Marvel released a new 2024 logo at New York Comic-Con and it features a look at many characters from the franchise, but the one that stood out the most was the first look at HERBIE, the experimental integrated B-type humanoid robot. Electronics, coming to Marvel Studios Fantastic Four: First Steps.

HERBIE was created by Stan Lee AND Jack Kirby for the 1978 animated series THE New Fantastic Four replacing the Human Torch.

HERBIE is a robot created by Mister Fantastic to help them fight crime. The robot eventually made the leap into comics, becoming an integral part of Marvel’s First Family publishing history.

Fantastic Four: First Steps it will serve as the robot’s first appearance in a live-action project.

The Marvel logo is filled with characters from recent and upcoming projects in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, such as Kathryn HahnAgatha Harkness, Harrison Fordit’s the Red Hulk, Charlie Coxit’s Daredevil, Joseph QuinnThe Human Torch e Anthony Mackieit’s Captain America and more.

Fantastic Four is set in the 1960s in an alternate reality version of New York City. We saw some test footage at Comic-Con 2024 and I was blown away by it.

The film is also the protagonist Pedro Pasquale (The last of us) as Reed Richards, Vanessa Kirby (Mission: Impossible: Showdown) as Sue Storm, aka the Invisible Woman; AND Ebon Moss-Bachrach (The Punisher, The Bear) as Ben Grimm, aka The Thing.

Paul Walter Houser he was also recently cast in the project in an unknown role Natasha Lyonne,, AND Giulia Garner (Ozark, Inventing Anna), who will take on the role of Shalla-Bal, an incarnation of the Silver Surfer. Ralph Ineson will play Galactus.

Fantastic Four: First Steps will be released in theaters on July 25, 2025.
