The title of the next one Ralph Macchio AND Jackie Chan The Karate Kid movie was revealed by Karate Kid: Legendsand there will be a panel for the film that fans can attend at New York Comic-Con.
Chinese born in America actor Ben Wang will take on the role of the next Karate Kid in the film. Wang is fluent in Mandarin and is skilled in many forms of martial arts, including Karate, Wing Chun/Kung Fu, Gumdo, Kempo and Taekwando.
There are no story details to share, but Macchio will reprise his role as Daniel LaRusso and Chan will take on the role of Mr. Han, the film’s kung fu master Jaden Smith. Worlds are colliding! The film “will mark a continuation of the mythology of the original franchise.”
The film will be directed by Jonathan Entwistle (The end of the damn world) from a screenplay written by Rob Lieberwith production by Karen Rosenfelt. The film is scheduled for release by Sony Pictures on December 13, 2024.
