Andrew Garfield Describes Awkward Sex Scene Where He and Florence Pugh Didn’t Hear the Director’s Call

Andrea Garfield AND Florence Pugh protagonist of the next romantic drama We live in timeand in the film, “Almut (Florence Pugh) and Tobias (Garfield) come together in a surprise encounter that changes their lives. As they embark on a journey challenged by the limits of time, they learn to appreciate every moment of the unconventional path their love story has taken.”

It seems like the movie will tell a beautiful and heartwarming story, but Garfield shared an embarrassing story from the set of the movie. The actor told 92NY during a Q&A session:

“We were shooting the first take of this very intimate and passionate scene. It’s a closed set, which means it’s just me, Florence and the camera operator, who is a lovely man called Stuart. And he’s very polite , very sweet and kind.

The manager is in another room next door. And so the scene becomes exciting and we enter into it so to speak and go a little further than we should have.

We feel safe and we kind of… just go from one thing to the next and we’ll let this progress and move forward.”

The couple apparently didn’t notice that Stuart had stopped filming some time ago and was facing the wall until they realized the scene was over.

It doesn’t seem like they were having such a bad time, letting themselves get caught and all. It was probably funnier than anything when they realized they were giving extra credit to the scene.

The film is directed by John Crowleyfrom a screenplay written by the Olivier Award-winning playwright Nick Payne. The rest of the cast includes Adam James, Marama Corlett, Aoife Hinds, Heather Craney, Douglas Hodge, Niamh Cusack, Lucia Briers, Roberto BoulterAND Kerry Godliman.

We live in time had its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival and will begin a limited theatrical run in the US on October 11 before premiering in the UK on January 1, 2025. If you haven’t seen the trailer yet, you can check it out. out here.
