Blumhouse and Peacock team up for the haunting “Overnightmare” experience at Real THE SHINING Hotel

Blumhouse and Peacock announced they have teamed up for a fun and spooky “Overnightmare” experience at the Stanley Hotel in Estes Park, Colorado, which is the true inspiration for the hotel in the Stephen King film. The Shining One.

“Overnightmare” is an immersive weekend-long experience where guests can book rooms based on one of four Blumhouse films: Insidious, The purge, Happy Death DayAND Capricious.

It is explained that upon check-in, “guests will be greeted by a cast of Blumhouse-themed characters, including a ‘conci-scare-ge,’ who will serve as a guide to all the weekend’s offerings.

“During the day, attendees can grab a drink at the Blumhouse Bar, play the studio’s upcoming video game ‘Fear the Spotlight,’ or explore the ‘Teacup’ Room, a lounge based on James Wan’s new horror thriller series Atomic Monster and Peacock .” .”

In the evening, “guests will be collected from their rooms for personalized and immersive after-dark activities. Inspired by Blumhouse’s filmography, each experience will feature interactive characters, narratives and scary moments.

“Participants can select the experience that best suits their fear threshold. The Freak AND Happy Death Day the themed evenings will be aimed at the general public while the Insidious AND The purge activities are reserved for experienced horror fans only.

It all seems a bit silly. If I’m at the Stanely Hotel, I’m there for The Shining and Ghosts. Not cinematographic activities.

The event takes place at the Stanley, located in Estes Park, Colorado, October 18-20. Visitors will also be invited to two screenings during their stay, one of which will be for Tea cup.

Tickets and further details can be found on the Stanley Hotel website.
