Prime Video has released the first trailer for Blumhouse’s upcoming two-part Halloween special, Killer cakes. This is a horror themed baking show hosted by Matthew Lillard (Scream, Five Nights at Freddy’s).
Killer Cakes is a one-of-a-kind competition show in which pastry chefs with terrifying skills attempt to conquer some of the scariest challenges ever produced for television.
Contestants will “work with Hollywood’s top horror special effects artists to unleash their twisted imaginations and create cakes so disgusting, so disturbing and so lifelike they’re the stuff of nightmares.”
Expert judges for the special include Scream Queen Daniel Harris (Halloween ) and experimental food artist and cookbook author Nikk Alcaraz (Special cooking).
Ruth Amsel serves as showrunner for the two-part special, with executive producers Jason Blum AND Gretchen Palek for Blumhouse Television and Davide Giorgio AND Scott Feeley for ITV America’s High Noon Entertainment. Lillard also serves as executive producer.
Killer Cakes will debut on October 8th, exclusively on Prime Video.
