My name is Ryan Reynolds. continues to talk about his huge Marvel movie success Deadpool and Wolverinesharing some behind the scenes stories that some fans will appreciate. This included four words of advice from Kevin Feige and haunted him throughout development
Reflecting on the production during an appearance at the Fast Company Innovation Festival, Reynolds revealed four words from Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige.
Reynolds said, “He said something that sounds very pedantic and probably isn’t the thing to say out loud, but actually, weirdly enough, it served as a creative engine. He was like, ‘Make every scene great.’ And I was like, ‘Thanks, Kev. That sounds good.'”
Reynolds went on to admit: “[They] haunted me. “Make it great” – that’s hard.”
In the end, Reynolds succeeded and made a great Deadpool and Wolverine film. The question is: Does Feige give this advice to every director working on a Marvel movie? Because if he does, it doesn’t always work.
Feige should probably first encourage Marvel directors to tell a good story, then they can work on making the scenes great.
