Here’s a new trailer for the upcoming werewolf horror film titled The hills of the forestwhich is the last movie that Shelley Duvall (The brilliant) appeared before he died.
The film also stars Edward Furlong (Terminator 2), Dee Wallace (The howl), AND Jamie March (The Forsaken, Killer App, X-Files, The Best Laid Plans). It was directed by by Scott Goldbergand it looks like a brutal and bloody movie!
The hills of the forest follows “a disturbed man who is plagued by nightmarish visions after suffering a head injury while camping in the Catskill Mountains.”
“Duvall will play the mother of Rico, mentally and emotionally disturbed (Chiko Mendes), which acts as his inner voice.”
Furlong plays Billy, a man who influences Rico to believe he can become a werewolf. The film will apparently feature Furlong’s character transforming into a werewolf.
Goldberg said, “For the transformation process throughout the film, we’re doing all practical special effects. There’s absolutely no CGI for the transformation sequences because we grew up watching movies in the early ’80s that were supposed to create horror through practical special effects.”
He continued, “We’re big fans of The brilliant and it’s honestly one of my favorite horror movies of all time, up there with John Carpenter’s Halloween and by George A. Romero Day of the Dead with the dark tones they conveyed in their films, along with perfect soundtracks and elements that make them my favorites.
“Shelley contributed to The brilliant being an absolute masterpiece, giving it her all and acting in a way that really showcased the fear and horror of an isolated mother.”
The hills of the forest will be released in select theaters starting October 4th.
