Jon Bernthal and Pablo Schreiber to Star in Tessa Thompson’s Netflix Series HIS & HERS

Jon Bernthal (The Punisher) AND Pablo Schreiber (Alone) have joined together Tessa Thompson in the upcoming Netflix series, He and sheproduction of which is expected to begin this fall.

The series is “set in the sweltering heat of Atlanta, where Anna (Thompson) is living in an eerie seclusion and drifting away from her friends and her career as a journalist.

“But when she hears about a murder in Dahlonega, the sleepy town where she grew up, she comes to life, throws herself into the case and searches for answers.

“Detective Jack Harper (Bernthal) is strangely suspicious of her involvement, chasing her into the crosshairs of his own investigation. There are two sides to every story, his and hers, which means someone is always lying.”

It is also explained that Bernthal’s character, Jack, is “a sheriff’s detective who lost his last job and now works in his small hometown of Dahlonega, Georgia, where he lives with his sister and niece.

“He’s married to journalist Anna (Thompson), but they’re separated, their relationship complicated by loss and betrayal. Jack is a good man who doesn’t always make good decisions and is deeply troubled by the murder case he’s just been assigned to.”

Schreiber will play Richard, “one of WSK TV News’ top cameramen and husband of up-and-coming new anchor Lexy Jones, who stepped into the role during the recent absence of longtime anchor Anna Andrews.

“Richard is chosen by Anna to be her cameraman when, upon her return, he finds himself covering the story of a murder in Dahlonega as a field reporter.”

The six-episode limited series comes from William Oldroyd and adapted from By Alice Feeney novel. Oldroyd serves as writer, executive producer, and will direct the first episode.
