Elizabeth Olsen to play a different Marvel character in Marvel’s VISION series?

It has recently been reported that Elizabeth Olsen will return to the MCU for the next Marvel movie WandaVision spin-off series Visionbut there are several new rumors that claim she will not return to play Scarlet Witch.

There are reports that instead of playing Scarlet Witch, who may have died in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madnessthere she could actually play the character of Virginia Vision.

It appears that the origin of this rumor was Alex Perez of The Cosmic Circus on social media, but that site has been known to make up fake news about movies in the past to get clicks. But other sites claim to have heard the same thing, so we’ll see.

Furthermore, with James Sword reprising his role as Ultron, it looks like we’ll see Vision resurrect his “father” at some point in the series.

It has been explained that the core of the series will focus on by Paul Bettany Vision as he tries to regain his memory and humanity.

As for Virginia Vision, she is also known as “V”, and is a character that was introduced in By Tom King critically acclaimed 2016 Vision series. She is a synthezoid, created by Vision as part of his attempt to lead a “normal” family life in the suburbs.

Virginia was designed to resemble a human wife and mother and was programmed with the ability to feel emotions. Along with her synthetic children, Vin and Viv, she struggles with the challenges of fitting into human society while grappling with her own unique identity and the darker aspects of her family’s existence.

Virginia’s story is quite tragic, and her journey in the series highlights the complexity and, at times, heartbreaking reality of trying to live a normal life when you’re anything but normal.

This is very close to the story for WandaVision so I imagine if Virginia Vision is in the series, Marvel will have different plans for her and the story.

Terry Matalas (Star Trek: Picard) is developing the series and is serving as showrunner for the untitled series, which is expected to begin production in 2025.
