Trailer for Michael Bay’s docuseries BORN EVIL: THE SERIAL KILLER AND THE SAVIOR

Investigation Discovery has released the first trailer for Michael’s Baythe next docuseries of Born Bad: The Serial Killer and the Savior.

It is a five-episode documentary series that follows the story of serial killer Hadden Clark, described as a “morphing psychopath,” and the unsolved cases associated with him.

The series also explores the relationship he had with a cellmate, to whom he confessed his crimes because he thought the convicted murderer was, get this… Jesus.

Born Evil: The Serial Killer and the Savior examines “the inner workings of the volatile and dysfunctional Clark family, Hadden’s path to depravity, and the shocking confessions he made to his cellmate that have prompted investigators to try to solve cold cases allegedly linked to him.”

The docuseries features private, recorded conversations with Clark, conducted by Bay, and delves into the killer’s traumatic childhood, violent family history and unsolved cases linked to his prison confessions.

Other key figures interviewed included Hadden Clark’s brother, Geoff Clark, and Hadden Clark’s former cellmate, Jack Truitt, who Clark believed was Jesus.

Bay said in a statement: “Throughout my career, I have always focused on meeting real people, from scientists of all kinds to alligator farmers, from law enforcement officers to bank robbers and even kings and queens, to gain authentic insights into my films.”

Born bad is my first foray into documentary filmmaking, and it centers around a family of serial killers you’ve never heard of. The focus of this five-hour series is on the youngest son, Hadden Clark, who I spent countless hours speaking to in person in prison, so I could get inside the mind and psychology of a person the FBI has designated as a “person of interest” in over 20 states. Born bad could potentially open the door to solving many unsolved murder cases.”

The docuseries will also draw on Hadden Clark’s personal journals and illustrations detailing his crimes, as well as interviews with law enforcement and victims’ loved ones.

ID President Jason Sarlanis said: “Michael Bay is one of the finest storytellers of our generation, and he gives us unprecedented access to one of the most terrifying serial killer stories in history.

“With Born badWe have ID’s next hit series and we deliver on our promise to bring viewers premium, true-crime content from the industry’s best filmmakers.”

Born Evil: The Serial Killer and the Savior is scheduled to arrive on ID on September 2nd at 9:00 PM ET.
