First Trailer for WB’s Epic Anime Film THE LORD OF THE RINGS: THE ROHIRRIM WAR

Warner Bros. has released the first trailer for its upcoming Middle-earth epic anime film The Lord of the Rings: The Rohirrim Warand this looks really awesome! If you are an anime fan, I think you will like it.

I am very excited about this project and it looks like it will tell a great story and offer Middle-earth fans an exciting theatrical experience.

Set 183 years before the events of the original film trilogy, The Lord of the Rings: The Rohirrim War tells the story of the fate of the House of Helm Hammerhand, the legendary King of Rohan.

“A sudden attack by Wulf, a cunning and ruthless Dunlending lord seeking vengeance for his father’s death, forces Helm and his people to make a last, daring stand in the ancient stronghold of Hornburg, a mighty fortress that would later be called Helm’s Deep.

“Finding herself in an increasingly desperate situation, Helm’s daughter Héra must find the will to lead the resistance against a deadly enemy intent on their utter destruction.

New Line Cinema’s original anime film The Lord of the Rings: War of the Rohirrim is from award-winning director Kenji Kamiyama (Blade Runner: Black Lotus and the TV series Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex).

Screenwriter Philippa Boyenswho wrote Peter Jackson’s live-action films, said: “The Lord of the Rings: The Rohirrim War It works for anime because it’s character-driven and set in its own world, two things that fit perfectly with Japanese storytelling, and there’s no better storyteller than Kenji Kamiyama in this genre.”

The rest of the voice cast includes Brian Cox like Helm Hammerhand the king of Rohan, Wise Gaia like Hera of Rohan, Luca Pasqualino like Wulf, Lorena Ashbourne (from Netflix Bridgerton Bridge), Yazdan Qafouri (I came from), Author: Benjamin Wainwright (BBC One World on fire), Laurence Ubong Williams (Portal), My Friend Shaun Dooley (from Netflix The Witcher), Michael Wildman (Fast and Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw)), Judas Akuwudike (Beasts of no nation), Bilal Hasna (from the BBC) Sparks), AND by Janine Duvitski (of ITV) Benidorm).

With Kamiyama at the helm, the original film is produced by Boyens, of the writing team behind The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit trilogy, along with Jason DeMarco AND Joseph Chouwho, in addition to their numerous separate animation projects, have collaborated on Blade Runner: The Black Lotus series.

The executive producers are Francesca Walsh, Peter Jackson, Sign up Sam, Author: Carolyn Blackwood AND Toby Emmerich.

The screenplay is by Jeffrey Addis, It will be Matthews,Phoebe GittinsAND The artist Papageorgiouwith a story by Addiss & Matthews and Boyens, based on characters created by JRR Tolkien.

The Lord of the Rings: War of the Rohirrim will be released in theaters worldwide by Warner Bros. Pictures on December 13, 2024, and internationally on December 11, 2024.
