Bethesda has released a new trailer for the upcoming Indiana Jones game, Indiana Jones and the Great Circlecreated by developer MachineGames.
The trailer features fun and adventurous new footage, a behind-the-scenes look at the making of the game, new details on what to expect, and reveals that the game will be coming to Xbox Series X|S and PC on December 9.
It is a first-person title set during the classic Indy era, with an original story set between Raiders of the Lost Ark AND The Last Crusade. Indy finds himself facing sinister forces. From his whip and revolver to his trusty journal and camera, you’ll need everything he’s got to unravel the mystery of the Great Circle.
The game will allow players to choose their own path through enemy encounters, whether they want to play in stealth mode or run around shooting and cracking whips.
It’s 1937, “sinister forces are scouring the globe for the secret of an ancient power linked to the Great Circle, and only one person can stop them: Indiana Jones.”
The game will also feature a lot of puzzles, but many of them will be optional and off the beaten path. It was also revealed that the action will shift to a third-person perspective as you watch Indy.
The game director, Gustafsson assholeHe previously talked about the game saying that it is “the closest” to the movies Raiders of the Lost Ark AND The Last Crusade.
Gustafsson explained: “We spent countless hours simply re-watching the films, especially the two films closest to the game, which are Raiders of the Lost Ark AND the last crusade.”
This is a game that Italian:Todd Howard has been trying to get real for over a decade. In a previous interview, he explained: “I’m a huge Indiana Jones fan. He can be brought into video games in a unique way. Gaming is obviously: you’re exploring things. It’s about him. So if you’re playing, how does it feel to actually play versus just watching? […] We’ll talk about it again next year.”
