Sydney’s World She’s back in the superhero movie news cycle as she’s been offered the role of Black Cat in Sony Pictures and Marvel Studios Spiderman 4.
This rumor was spread by tipster My Time To Shine Hello, but has not been confirmed by either studio.
We don’t know if this is true or not, but Sweeney has already appeared in Sony’s Marvel film Madame Web, which was a huge box office failure among both critics and audiences.
It’s safe to say that we’ll never see a sequel to that film, but it would make sense for Sweeney to want to continue acting in the Marvel Universe. To do that, she’d have to be cast in a different role.
There are also rumors that she has been in contact with Marvel Studios to play another character and Felicia Hardy, aka Black Cat, could be that character.
It wouldn’t surprise me if this rumor turns out to be true, I mean at this point anything is possible and, given that Sweeney is a rising star and very popular in Hollywood, if Marvel wants to cast her in the film, now is the time.
