Some Deadpool and Wolverine The concept art has been shared online and the images offer some alternative designs for Wesley SnipeBlade of .
The first piece comes from the concept artist John Stauband his version is very close to the character’s appearance in real life. He said of the art:
“Approved concept of #blade with the man himself @realwesleysnipes for the #deadpoolandwolverine movie. Super excited to work on helping bring one of the beloved characters back to life.
“The final design ended up being a collaboration with the costume department led by @mayesrubeo and his team. It was a real labor of love to find a good balance between making the look familiar to fans but also updated for the new film.
“Also be sure to check out the amazing work @rodneyimages did on the character. This piece will also be included in the upcoming The Art of Deadpool & Wolverine #marvelstudios #marvel #disney #character #concept”
The other art comes from Rodney Fuentebella and features a very different alternate design for Blade. He said about his art:
“Hey everyone. I did an early concept for a really cool character, Blade, in the new Deadpool and Wolverine movie @marvelstudios. I wanted to go with a more seasoned Blade who has seen and done a lot to survive.
“Thanks to @andyparkart for leading the Vis Dev team on this film and to all the folks at Marvel Studios who helped make such an awesome film. Go check out @johnstaubart who did the final look of Blade and all the other vis dev pieces. (Book artwork coming soon!!!)”
