Sony Pictures has released a new trailer for its upcoming Marvel film Kraven the Hunterand does not shy away from ultra-violence and gore. The story really wants you to know that this is going to be a brutal R-rated film.
I’m sure the R rating will definitely attract some fans, but what really matters is the story the film tells, and I hope it’s a solid story.
The trailer features several new scenes from the film, after it underwent some extensive reshoots, and also gives us a sneak peek at the film’s villain Rhino.
Kraven the Hunter is the visceral story of how and why one of Marvel’s most iconic villains came to be. Set before his infamous revenge on Spider-Man, and by Aaron Taylor-Johnson plays Kraven.
In Kraven the Hunter, Russian immigrant Sergei Kravinoff is on a mission to prove he’s the world’s greatest hunter. Taylor-Johnson called the project “a Marvel movie that’s very much grounded in the real world. We know he’s a fierce hunter, a highly trained killer.” She enthused, “Fuck yeah, it’s going to be R-rated!”
Mr. Chandor is directing the film from a script by Art Marcum AND Mattia Cavazza (Iron Man), and also recites Ariana DeBose like Calypso, Russel Crowe, the greatest crime novelist, is a businessman. like Nikolai Kravinoff, Fred Hechinger like Chameleon, Alessandro Nivola like a bad stranger, Levi Miller, AND Paragraph 22 star Christopher Abbotto as the main villain, The Stranger.
Kraven the Hunter film in theaters nationwide on December 13, 2024.
