HELLBOY: THE CROOKED MAN Star Jack Kesy on the Thrill of Playing Hellboy – “The Supporters, the Haters, Let Them In”

Hellboy is undergoing another reinvention with a new film titled, Hellboy: The Crooked Manbut this movie looks really good!

Jack Kesy takes on the role of Big Red in this new film and this film will tell a horror story set in the 1950s. In the film, Hellboy teams up with a rookie BPRD agent named Tom Ferrell and they find themselves stranded in the Appalachian countryside.

“There, they discover a small community infested with witches, led by a local devil with a disturbing connection to Hellboy’s past: the Crooked Man.” The story will “expand the world of Hellboy through one of the most beloved issues of the comic series.”

Kesy plays a character previously played by Ron Perlman and David Harbour, but the actress doesn’t feel pressured to play a new version of the character.

He told GamesRadar+: “You know what, I love a good challenge, I always have, so I was excited to take it on. Everyone, supporters, haters, whoever, bring it.

“You know it’s a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. You always get the opportunity to play people who are similar to you, but when you get the chance to wear a full prosthetic and play iconic characters? The excitement has exceeded all expectations.”

The actor is just hoping to do the fan-favorite character justice, saying, “Just excitement and a little bit of creative pressure, like, ‘How am I going to do this?’ I’ve never worked with prosthetics. But we collaborated with the director [Brian Taylor] and it was one day at a time, one scene at a time.”

Kesy went on to admit that he didn’t know the character’s history in the comics, but says he’s been welcomed with open arms by fans.[I was] “I’m definitely not a comic book fan, but I definitely learned on the job and fans reached out to me right away and told me things I didn’t know about comics.”

He added: “I love the Hellboy fans. I’ve actually known them for over a year, I keep writing to them especially through some social media and they send me little facts and little pictures and little things that I might have overlooked. I’m excited for them.”

After watching the trailer of Hellboy: The Crooked ManI’m actually a little excited. It could be a decent Hellboy movie that offers a fun and good horror story.

The film also stars Adelina Rodolfo (Resident Evil), Jefferson’s White (Yellow stone) HOW Tom Ferrel, Leah McNamara like Effie Kolb, Joseph Marcellus like Reverend Watts, Hannah Margetson like Cora Fisher, and Martin Bassindale like the Curved Man, among others.

Hellboy: The Crooked Man which is scheduled for release in 2024.
