Emilia Clarke (game of Thrones), Gerard Butler (Greenland) AND Simone Ashley (Bridgerton Bridge) will lend their voices to the upcoming animated musical The Night Before Christmas in Wonderland.
The film is based on By Carys Bexington bestselling book, which combined two classic stories: by Lewis Carroll Alice in Wonderland and the poetry of Clement Clarke Moore “It was the night before Christmas” (also known as “A Visit from St Nicholas”). Bexington’s book is illustrated by My life is nice and published by Macmillan.
Butler will voice St. Nicholas, Clarke will play the Queen of Hearts, and Ashley will play Alice.
Peter Baytonwho directed the Oscar-winning animated short “The Boy, the Mole, the Fox and the Horse”, is the director while Sara dad wrote the screenplay (which is entirely in rhyming couplets). Guy Chambers and lyricist Amy Wadge provide the original music and songs.
“The Night Before Christmas in Wonderland is full of festive fun and twists,” the synopsis reads. “This time, it’s St. Nicholas’s turn for an adventure down the rabbit hole.
“There she meets the Mad Hatter, transformed into a dapper, reindeer-loving tea party host; the White Rabbit, a charmingly absent-minded and forgetful character; the Queen of Hearts, a Scrooge-like hater of sequins; her antagonist, the Cheshire Cat; and Alice herself, whose kindness helps Saint Nicholas save Christmas.”
This looks like it could be a fun new Christmas movie to watch as a family.
