With Deadpool and Wolverine being such a huge success at the box office, there is no doubt that one day we will see the director My Friend Shawn Levi working on another Marvel project.
During an interview with Variety, Levy was asked if he would be open to directing a Marvel film, and he responded by saying that he and Marvel are not done with their partnership yet.
Levy responded: “I don’t know what shape my future will take at Marvel, but I’m very confident that Marvel and I are not done together yet.”
It was previously reported that Levy had been offered the opportunity to direct several projects for Marvel. Apparently, the director has his pick of projects if he wants to stay in business with Marvel.
The big question is: what Marvel movie will he do next? There are plenty of projects he could choose from and he has already said he wants to direct a Deadpool and Spider-Man film. But who knows if this will actually happen.
Speaking about his experience working with Marvel, Levy said: “This is the first time I’ve stepped into a franchise that existed before I created it, but whatever anxieties I had about working for the [Marvel] machine were unfounded. I had as much creative freedom and power on this film as I have on any film I’ve ever made.”
