Sydney Sweeney considered for lead role in THE RUNNING MAN alongside former co-star Glen Powell

Sydney’s World (Euphoria, The White Lotus) is in talks to reunite with her Anyone but you co-star Mr. Glen Powell in the author’s Paramount adaptation by Stephen King The runnerwhich is directed by Edgar Wright (Night of the Living Dead, The child who drives).

Industry Scooper Daniel Ricci says Sweeney has been eyed to play an undisclosed role. There are several characters in the book she could play, but it’s likely she’ll play Amelia Williams, Ben’s hostage in the story.

Sweeney starred in the heavily panned Sony film Mrs. Web earlier this year, but the star has a solid enough resume that the flop hasn’t slowed her down at all. She recently wrapped production on director Ron Howard’s upcoming thriller, Edenand has been vocal in his enthusiasm for the remake of the 1968 sci-fi classic Barbarella.

The runner It’s been in the works for quite some time, but it looks like it’s starting to gain some traction. We’ll let you know more as it continues to develop.
