For those who can’t wait for the return of the Prime Video animated series Invincibleprepare yourself for an intense experience. According to the creator Robert Kirkmanthe stakes this season are “really high” and every episode will feel like a finale.
During an interview with GamesRadar+, Kirkman teased: “The stakes of the season are really high and the content of the season is really dense.
“So we set up a lot of stories in season 1 and season 2 that are kind of coming to a head in season 3. And so, in a lot of ways, each episode feels a little bit like a finale.”
The comic creator continued to talk about the episodes, saying, “There’s something big in every episode, there’s a huge conclusion in every episode, there’s some kind of huge character evolution or story twist that happens in every episode. I’m really excited to finally get to see season 3 because it’s going to be crazy.”
During San Diego Comic-Con, we also got a sneak peek at season three, where Mark Grayson dons his new blue costume for the first time.
Kirkman spoke about the new look, saying, “It’s definitely an evolution of the show. I think it gets darker with each season, if you can believe it, and yeah, it’s more than that.
“Mark was in a really weird place at the end of every season, but certainly in season 2, after killing Angstrom Levy and having to deal with that.
“This is really going to weigh on him and temper every decision he makes, every action he takes moving forward in season three. It’s going to change the way the show works.”
As for what’s coming Invincible Kirkman previews season 3: “I think you can see that season 2 is an evolution of a lot of the things that were introduced in season 1.
“The stakes were higher, things got a little crazier, and there were a lot of moving pieces that hinted at a lot of bigger stories. Those bigger stories really start to fall apart in season three.”
The story of the series “revolves around eighteen-year-old Mark Grayson, who is like any other boy his age, except that his father is (or was) the most powerful superhero on the planet.
