Peacock has released the teaser trailer for its upcoming assassin thriller series The Day of the Jackalwhich is based on the book of the same name written by Frederick ForsythThis is a great trailer and looks like it could be an interesting show worth watching!
The stars of the series Eddie Redmayne as a ruthless assassin called the Jackal, who makes his living by carrying out assassinations for the highest fee. “But after his latest murder, he meets his match in a tenacious British intelligence officer (Lashana Lynch) who begins hunting the Jackal in a thrilling cat-and-mouse chase across Europe, leaving a trail of destruction in his wake.”
The series is described as “a bold, contemporary reimagining of the beloved and revered novel and film. While remaining true to the DNA of the original, this contemporary drama will delve deeper into the life of the chameleonic “anti-hero” at the center of the story, in a high-octane, cinematic, globetrotting “cat-and-mouse” thriller set in the turbulent geopolitical landscape of our times.”
The Day of the Jackal is a series created, written and presented by Ronan Bennettand also recites Lashana Lynch as Bianca, Ursula Corbero, Charles Dance, Richard Dormer, The chukwudi iwuji, Leah Williams, Khalid AbdullahAND Eleonora Matsuura.
The Peacock will debut The Day of the Jackal series on November 7, 2024.
