THE BOYS Prequel Series VOUGHT RISING Announced, Starring Jensen Ackles and Aya Cash

The boys the universe expands with a new spin-off prequel series titled Vught on the RiseThe series was announced at Comic-Con by Jensen Ackles, who will reprise his role as Soldier Boy.

Ackles will also be joined by Aya Cashwho will reprise her role as Stormfront. This was the biggest TV announcement at Comic-Con so far and fans in Hall H were super excited when it was revealed.

The Boys series executive producer Paul Grellong will serve as executive producer and showrunner on Vought Rising, which is being created by the core creative team behind The Boys franchise, led by Eric Kripke.

Kripke and Grellong offered details about the series, saying, “We’re thrilled to bring you the next crazy series from the world of The Boys,” Kripke and Grellong said, before lifting the lid on the prequel’s time period and premise.

“It’s a twisted whodunit about the origins of Vought in the 1950s, the early exploits of Soldier Boy, and the diabolical maneuvers of a Supe known to fans as Stormfront, who at the time went by the name Clara Vought.

“We can’t wait to blow your minds and disturb your souls with this salacious, macabre, blood-soaked, Compound V saga.”

Ackles’ Soldier Boy is the first unaged American Supe, created by Frederick Vought during World War II. Stormfront was Frederick Vought’s first successful test subject for Compound V and she married him before they moved to the United States.

Grellong and Kripke are joined by producers Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg, The Weaver James, Neal H. Moritz, Gold Marble, Shetty Peacock, Celebrities, Jason Netter, My Friend Garth Ennis, Darick RobertsonAND Michela Starr.

The series is produced by Sony Pictures Television and Amazon MGM Studios, in association with Kripke Enterprises, Point Grey Pictures and Original Film.
