The animation studio behind ARCANE wants to adapt the manga series VAGABOND

The Animation Studio Behind Netflix’s Success League of Legends– inspired series ArcaneFortiche Studio, has revealed that they would like to adapt Takehiko Inoue’s manga series Vagabond.

This update was taken from an interview with Crunchyroll with Fortiche co-founder Pascal CharrueHe continued, “When considering adapting manga, it’s essential to find ones that would truly benefit from being animated.

“I often find myself disappointed by some adaptations for the simple fact that the pacing of a manga, which you control as a reader, doesn’t always translate well to animation.”

When it comes to Vagabondsays: “It is a masterpiece of incredible depth and gorgeous illustrations that would be fascinating to bring to life.”

Vagabond is a gripping and beautifully illustrated adaptation of by Eiji Yoshikawa novel MusashiThe story follows the journey of Shinmen Takezo, a young and fierce swordsman and warrior who later takes the name Miyamoto Musashi.

Set in the tumultuous period of early 17th century Japan, the tale chronicles Musashi’s tireless pursuit of martial prowess and spiritual enlightenment.

As he traverses the countryside, engaging in brutal duels and philosophical introspection, Musashi confronts the essence of the samurai code, the nature of strength, and the search for inner peace.

Charrue also said that while Fortiche isn’t really looking to develop new versions of existing material, he is a big fan of Cyberpunk: Edgerunners,

He said: “I have to admit that I don’t watch as many anime as I used to due to lack of time, but the last one that really caught my attention was Cyberpunk: Edgerunners by Hiroyuki Imaishi from Studio Trigger.

“I initially watched it out of curiosity because it’s also an adaptation of a video game. Even though it’s quite different from Arcane, they’ve successfully incorporated emotion into the story, which is something we always try to achieve in our work.”

While I love what the studio did with Arcaneand I’m incredibly excited for Season 2. But I’m also curious to see what other projects they’ll take on in the future! Some of these will be Arcane spin off.
