For the most part, I’m not impressed by the writing in The Acolytebut when I watch it I listen, and there was a line in episode 7 that really stuck with me.
This dialogue anticipated what would happen hundreds of years later in Star Wars universe. It foreshadows the journey of Anakin Skywalker and the evil deeds he would commit.
There is a scene in the episode where Sol goes to the coven to take Osha away for Jedi training, and when he shows up, Mother Aniseya and the rest of the witches are there to meet him.
At this moment, Mother Aniseya warns Sol, saying, “One day, those noble intentions you all have will destroy every Jedi in the galaxy.”
This ominous line actually comes true. About 100 years later, Qui-Gon Jinn finds himself on Tatooine where he meets the young Anakin Skywalker.
Qui-Gon Jinn has nothing but noble intentions in taking Anakin and training him to become a Jedi. This act sets off a series of events that lead to the fall of the Jedi Order with the extermination of the Jedi and the rise of the Empire and the dark side.
When Sol attempts to take Osha as his Padawan, a fight breaks out and Sol ends up killing Aniseya, while the witches either die or are knocked unconscious by Indara, who breaks their mind control over Kelnacca.
This episode also featured a truly spectacular lightsaber battle with the Wookiee Jedi, Kelnacca.
