Irina Mairko, the former wife of actor Vitaly Gogunsky, has asked the Presnensky District Court of Moscow to increase her monthly child support payments eightfold from 50,000 rubles to 400,000 rubles.
The request seeks to adjust financial support for their joint daughter Milana, who performs professionally as a child singer and blogger under the stage name Milana Star.
According to a courtroom report by a correspondent for the Izvestia newspaper, Gogunsky's defense attorney stated during the hearing that the actor currently pays 50,000 rubles per month toward the upbringing of his daughter.
Legal representatives for the actor told the court that Gogunsky's financial situation has worsened significantly in recent years. However, his lawyers failed to submit any official documentation or certificates to prove that the monthly alimony payments had actually been made.
Disputed expenses and claims
In her application to the Moscow court, Mairko outlined the necessary monthly costs required to maintain their daughter's standard of living. Among the items included in her list of essential expenditures was the routine technical maintenance of an air conditioning unit.
Gogunsky previously addressed public accusations regarding alleged non payment of child support. Responding to the claims, the actor expressed a desire for the state to protect the legal rights of men in the same manner that it protects women.
Background on the television star and family
Gogunsky achieved widespread fame in Russia for playing the character Kuzya, a naive university student and athlete, in the long running television comedy series Univer. The popular sitcom, which aired on the TNT television network, established him as a well known figure in Russian television entertainment.
Mairko, a model, married Gogunsky after years of relationship before the couple eventually divorced. Their daughter Milana has pursued a performing career under the stage name Milana Star, releasing pop songs and music videos that have gathered millions of views on video platforms.
The dispute remains before the Presnensky District Court of Moscow, which handles civil litigation and family law matters in the capital. The court has not yet issued a final decision on the alimony modification request.
