Marvel has shared a new image from CAPTAIN AMERICA: BRAVE NEW WORLD

To celebrate Independence Day, Marvel Studios has shared a new image of Captain America: Brave New World. It’s a behind the scenes shot with Antonio Mackie while Sam Wilson wore his new red, white and blue uniform.

Director Julius Onah previously talked about the film and shared some more insight into what’s going on in Sam Wilson’s life.

Onah explained that it will be the biggest test of Sam Wilson’s life: “It’s really his coming out show. It’s about testing him.”

The director also spoke about Wilson’s relationship with the American government, saying, “Part of the challenge for Sam as Captain America, working within the government, is how he’s going to make decisions. The point of view that he has will sometimes put him at odds with the President.”

He went on to share details about how Wilson is at odds with By Tim Blake Nelson Samuel Sterns, aka The Leader: “Sam finds himself kind of caught between Samuel Sterns and what he thinks the government owes him, and how he wants to get it.”

The director also addresses Wilson’s lack of superpowers and how they had fun with that: “The action in this movie is incredibly exciting because this is a guy who can break, this is a guy who can bleed. We have a lot of fun pushing him to the limit.”

Kevin Feige also spoke about the film and said that he is trying to capture the same magic that they conveyed in Captain America: The Winter Soldier focusing entirely on the political thriller aspect of the story.

The film also stars Liv Tyler, The Shira Haas, Tim Blake Nelson, Rose Salazar, Danny RamirezAND Carlo Lumbe.

The screenplay of the film was written by Dalan Musson AND Malcolm Spellmanboth of whom wrote for The Falcon and the Winter SoldierSpellman will produce the film alongside Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige.

Captain America: Brave New World will arrive on February 14, 2025.
