I’m sure you all remember that twerking scene in Marvel She-Hulk: Lawyer and how it sparked outrage from fans. Many fans didn’t care about that scene or She-Hulk in general, but about the star of the series Tatiana Maslany he looked like he had a lot of fun making the show!
During a recent appearance at Superhero Comic Con in San Antonio over the weekend, the actress opened up about her twerking scene with Megan Thee Stallion and shared that it was one of the best moments of her life.
According to Agents of Fandom, Maslany said, “Before this I had been to several Megan Thee Stallion concerts. I was ready. It was the best moment of my life.”
It’s good that she enjoyed the experience because it’s likely we won’t see a second season of She-Hulk. There were many behind-the-scenes problems with the series, including budget issues.
When previously asked if the show would get a second season, Maslany said, “I don’t think so. I think we went over our budget and Disney said ‘no thanks.'”
CEO of Disney Bob Iger he was “apoplectic” over widespread major visual effects problems with Marvel when he returned to take care of Disney. It was also reported that She-Hulk’s visual effects problems were a “symptom of a deeper rot, namely a lack of oversight over script development.” Those scripts were described as ‘half-baked.'”
Maslany also spoke about Jennifer Walters’ romance with Daredevil, saying, “I think she’s keeping her options open, but I’m pretty sure she would do it again!”
I’m sure we’ll see She-Hulk again, it’s just hard to guess when and where. But there are rumors that she could be one of the main characters in the next Avengers films.
While many fans didn’t like the She-Hulk show, She-Hulk comic book writer Dan Slott has a very different opinion and says that the series is “the most faithful series to the comics” that Marvel has ever made.
He said: “Whoever says the @SheHulkOfficial TV show wasn’t ‘comic accurate’… I’m the guy who wrote more issues of SHE-HULK than anyone. I’ve read every single comic in every #SheHulk series. And I’m saying, for the record, it’s the MOST comic-accurate series in the MCU.”
He also commented on the Twerking scene, saying, “People discussing the twerking scene in #SheHulk wouldn’t happen in the comics… Byrne had She-Hulk jumping rope in a bikini. I made her do karaoke, dance, and party so much that she caused structural damage to the Avengers Mansion. Is this the hill they want to die on?”
