Netflix has released the first trailer for Mark Wahlberg AND Halle Berrythe action comedy The Union.
The film follows Mike (Wahlberg), a construction worker from Jersey, who is quickly thrust into the world of super spies and secret agents when his high school sweetheart, Roxanne (Berry), suddenly comes back into his life and recruits him high-flying. . -engages the US intelligence mission.
The mission involves recovering a stolen list containing the identities of every US spy. So Mike, a construction worker, unexpectedly gets involved in a wild adventure and becomes a working class James Bond.
The Union is directed by Giuliano Farino and written by Joe Barton AND David Guggenheim. The cast is also present JK Simmons, Mike Colter, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Jessica De Gouw, Alice Lee AND Jackie Earle Haley.
Wahlberg spoke about working with Berry on the project, saying it was “an absolute joy. I have always been a huge fan of hers and an admirer of her work.
“Doing anything with Halle is very easy but also an absolute joy. Pretty much any guy or girl will do anything to win her over, so it was definitely easy when it came to following her around like a puppy.
The film will arrive on Netflix on August 16.
