Netflix has released the trailer for a new documentary film titled Skywalker: A Love Story. This film tells the courageous story of a Russian couple obsessed with tower climbing, also known as “rooftopping”.
The two break into areas and illegally climb to the top of huge towers so they can take photos and videos for their social media channels. This film focuses on them as they embark on an adventure to climb the second tallest skyscraper in the world.
In the film, “A daredevil couple risks everything by going where no one has ever been before: the top of the second tallest skyscraper in the world. Angela and Vanya are Russia’s top roofers who defy the odds (and death) to scale the world’s tallest buildings.
“As their stunts go viral and amass millions of views online, they test their love and trust with a dangerous new activity called “skywalking.” Filmed over six years in six countries, this documentary captures the extreme climbing in excruciating detail.”
Skywalkers: A Love Story is directed and written by the Emmy-winning director Jeff Zimbalist (Favela Rising, The Two Escobars, Momentum Generation). It seems like a cheesy movie and I’ve heard it’s not good.
The film will be released in IMAX theaters for one week only on July 12, 2024. The film will then arrive on Netflix on July 19, 2024.
