Stranger things is preparing for his fifth and final season as an actor Jamie Campbell Bower he is described as “completely crazy” and “out of control”. The actor, who plays Henry Creel/Vecna in the hit Netflix series, stopped by iHeart I’ve never said that before with Tommy DiDario (via THR) and teased what audiences can expect in the show’s next season.
“If you thought last season was crazy, this season is just out of control, wild, like crazy. It really, really is. It is bigger. It’s just completely crazy. It’s completely crazy.
The actor explained that he felt the events of the penultimate season were easy to keep track of, but this time he struggles to understand what’s going on.
He noted that the last time he played a character that he remade or rediscovered during filming was the role of Caius in the film Dusk saga, but had the chance to do so to some extent with Henry Creel/Vecna - with the help of Stranger things play in London.
The first shadow is set in 1959 and follows younger versions of some of the series’ characters, including Joyce Byers (Winona Ryder), Bob Newby (Sean Astin) and Jim Hopper Jr. (Davide Porto).
The show begins when new student Henry Creel moves to Hawkins, Indiana, where “his family discovers that a new beginning isn’t so easy…and the shadows of the past have a very long reach,” according to the plot.
Bower said of Stranger things fifth season:
“It is constantly under construction. It was also really interesting to have the show in London, which I went to see, going back to Henry before we met him in season four. And having a lot of questions or a lot of thoughts that I had about that character that I answered by watching the show and also finding out more, that was really interesting to me.
THE Harry Potter The actor also noted that there is an even higher level of detail in the final episode of the show, which excited him as an artist.
While Bower admitted to having shot several Stranger things fifth season since production began in January, revealed that there’s still more to come.
So, it’s likely going to be a while before fans can experience the “wild” journey in the Upside Down for themselves. All we know for now is that the final season will be released in 2025.
