Here’s the trailer for an upcoming dark comedy titled The jokewhat stars Rita Moreno (History of the West Side) as a physics teacher named Mrs. Wheeler, who is described as “the teacher of your nightmares”.
In the film, Ben and his slacker friend Tanner decide to play a messy prank on their teacher after she flunks the entire class because someone cheated on a test.
In the movie “Ben (Connor Kalopsis) has a strict, mean and cruel physics teacher, Mrs. Wheeler (Moreno). She has taught at the school for decades and has a reputation for being the harshest, coldest, and most severe faculty member.
“She fails Ben’s entire class unless a student who cheated comes forward. But when no one does, Tanner and Ben hatch a plan to ruin her life and frame her for murder on social media.
As you can imagine, the whole plan starts to completely spiral out of control as the story unfolds.
The film was directed by Maureen Bharoochaand he is also the protagonist Connor Kalopsis, Ramona Young, Keith David, Kate Flannery, Meredith Salenger, Jonathan KimmelAND Nathan Janak.
The film initially premiered at the 2022 SXSW Film Festival a few years ago. Signature Ent. will debut The joke on VOD in the UK from 24 June 2024.
