Shudder has released a trailer for the upcoming Austrian horror drama film titled The devil’s bathroomwhich is a period film set in the 18th century.
In the film, “A woman faces a sad fate for a horrible crime. As Agnes prepares for her wedding, sinister forces stir, plunging her into darkness and despair.
The film’s synopsis reads: “Forests surround villages. Killing a child gets a woman sentenced to death. Agnes (Anja Plaschg) prepares for married life with her beloved.
“But his mind and heart become heavy. A bleak and lonely path, evil thoughts arising… As Agnes prepares for her wedding, sinister forces stir, plunging her into darkness and despair.
The film comes from directors Severin Fiala AND Veronica Franz (Goodnight Mom AND The Lodge) and it looks like they’ve made a chilling psychological horror film.
The film is the protagonist Anja Plaschg, Maria HofstatterAND David Scheid. It will open in select theaters on June 21, 2024, then stream on Shudder on June 28 of this month.
