Original Lama star Wesley Snipes is teasing a Marvel Studios reboot as they continue to struggle to get the project off the ground.
Following the news that the project has lost its second director Yann Demangethe actor took to social media and joked:
“Blade, lordylordylordy. People are still looking for the secret sauce, riding snowmobiles in traffic, pretty tough. Day walkers make it look easy, don’t they?”
Before Demange joined the project, The tycoon Mowgli‘S Bassam Tariq was slated to direct the film, but dropped out due to scheduling conflicts.
Marvel is having a hard time making this movie! Mahershala Ali is still attached to star in the film, and his attorney, Shelby Weiser, also recently commented on the status of the project, saying:
“That deal was in 2019 and they still haven’t shot it, which is pretty much the craziest thing in my professional experience.”
I’m sure one day Marvel will really get this and understand Lama in production. While we wait, though, there’s a chance we’ll see Snipes back in the role of Blade as he’s rumored to return. If this is true, he will most likely appear Deadpool and Wolverine.
Lama it will be the second R-rated film released by Marvel Studios, the first being Shawn Levy AND Ryan Reynolds’imminent Deadpool and Wolverine.
It was previously reported that Marvel was looking to adopt “a darker tone for this film than other MCU projects in the past.”
My Gothic AND Delroy Lindo they are also assigned to star in the film. The film’s script is currently being developed by The fantastic Four writer Eric Pearson.
