What is the series about?
In the center of the plot there is a normal English Jake Epping (James Franco) teacher, who once open the door to the past. His friend El, the owner of the dinner, shows a portal in his closet, which led in 1960. El tried for many years to change the course of history and save John Kennedy from the murder attack, but now he can no longer continue – and asks Jake to complete the mission instead of completing him.
Jake takes someone else’s dream and steps step by step in the past, hides under the name James Ammeron. But the deeper he dives into the atmosphere of the 60s, the clearer it becomes: time does not like interventions. The past itself is starting to combat an alien creature from the future and to surrender more and more obstacles. And when Jake has personal attachments and his own ‘alternative’ life, the task becomes almost impossible: intensely, but not solves in a foreign era.
