Prime Video has released the first trailer for the upcoming action comedy My spy The eternal citywhich is the sequel to the 2020 film My spy.
Dave Battista AND Chloe Colman they reunite in the film as JJ and Sophie and together they embark on a new adventure as they try to stop a terrorist threat in Europe. The film is described as “a family adventure set in some of Europe’s most legendary destinations”.
In the story, “When Sophie’s (Coleman) high school choir is selected for an Italian tour that culminates in a performance for the Pope in Vatican City, JJ (Bautista) sees this as an opportunity to bond with his new stepdaughter, so he volunteers to help escort the group through the Venetian canals, across the famous bridges of Florence and to Rome’s most historic sites.
“Instead he discovers that he and Sophie have become unwitting pawns in a terrorist plot that could end the world as we know it.”
The rest of the supporting cast includes Ken Jeong, Kristen Schaal, Anna Faris, Craig RobinsonAND Flula Borg.
The film was directed by Pete Segal (Get Smart, 50 First Dates) and will be released on July 18th.
