I have a trailer here for you to watch for a new horror thriller titled Starving Acrewhat stars Matt Smith (Doctor who) AND Morfydd Clark (The Rings of Power) and it looks like it will tell a twisted and disturbing story.
In the film, “After moving to the family’s remote Starve Acre estate, archaeologist Richard and his wife Juliette find their relationship tested when their young son begins to exhibit strange behavior.
“As family fractures deepen, Richard delves into the dark and disturbing folklore surrounding his childhood home. Rich in portentous atmosphere and full of bold stylistic choices, Kokotajlo’s meditation on grief and memory takes root as an instant classic of contemporary folk horror.
The film was written and directed by Daniel Kokotajlo and also stars Erin Richards, Sean Gilder, Robert Emms and Roger Barclay.
The film seems to have good reviews and is said to take audiences on a “dive into madness”. It will be released in select US theaters and on VOD on July 26, 2024.
