Teo Giacomo (The Lords, The White Lotus) has joined Aaron Taylor-Johnson in the upcoming heist thriller Spolettawhich is directed by David Mackenzie(Hell or high water).
Spoletta “opens with the discovery of an unexploded World War II bomb on a London construction site, triggering a mass evacuation, which serves as the perfect cover for a robbery.” The film’s screenplay was written by Ben Hopkins.
Mackenzie previously said in a statement: “I had the idea of combining all the stakes of an unexploded bomb with that of a bank robbery – clashing these two genres to create as much pressure as possible in a context that seems the most real as possible. Ben Hopkins took these ingredients and crafted the compelling script that we are now putting into production.”
Producer Gillian Berrie (King of the Outlaws, Tetris) described it as a “whirlwind film.” Filming is expected to begin in early July.
