Oscilloscope Laboratories has released a trailer for the upcoming vampire horror film The Vourdalakand it looks like a wild, disturbing, bloody movie!
The film comes from Adriano Beauand it is based on That of Aleksey Konstantinovich Tolstoy Gothic horror story from 1839 The Vourdalak familywritten more than half a century earlier Bram Stoker Dracula.
The Vourdalak it’s described as “an atmospheric, unexpected sensory experience that will leave you reeling and stunned in equal measure.”
In the film, “When the Marquis d’Urfé, a noble emissary of the King of France, is attacked and abandoned in a remote countryside, he finds refuge in a disturbing and isolated manor.
“The resident family, reluctant to welcome him, displays strange behavior as they await the imminent return of his father, Gorcha.
“But what starts out simply strange quickly turns into a full-blown nightmare when Gorcha returns, seemingly no longer himself.”
The story on which the film is based also served as inspiration for one of the segments of Mario Bava’s 1963 horror anthology film Black Sabbath, titled The Wurdulak.
The film will be released exclusively in theaters on June 28, 2024.
