Here is a video of an old interview with Frank Prentice, a real Titanic crew member who worked as an assistant purser.
In the interview for the 1979 BBC series The Great Liners – Hazard at Sea, Prentice spoke of the nightmarish moments just before realizing the ship was sinking.
From his perspective, Prentice recounted what happened on the Titanic on April 14, 1912. The tragedy was so horrific that it haunted him until his death in 1982.
More than a century since the Titanic sank on its maiden voyage, this first-person testimony from survivor Frank Prentice remains a powerful and harrowing account of the sheer terror felt by those on board… vividly describing the harrowing events of that historic night, one that continued to haunt him in his dreams for decades after.
