Viggo Mortensen is available to return as Aragorn in the film THE HUNT FOR GOLLUM

Andy Serkis is currently developing a new one Lord of the Rings movie The Lord of the Rings: The Hunt for Gollumwhich will delve into the background story of Gollum.

Peter Jackson, Filippa Boyens AND Fran Walsh they are also working on the film as producers and screenwriters and, being a fan of these epic fantasy stories, I can’t help but be curious and excited to see how this film project will turn out.

We don’t really know anything about the story or anything else Lord of the Rings the characters may appear in the film, but Viggo Mortensen is ready to return as Aragorn!

In a recent interview with GQthe actor was asked if he would consider returning to the role in the upcoming film.

Mortensen said, “Of course. I don’t know exactly what the story is, I haven’t heard about it. Maybe I’ll hear about it sometime. I like playing that character. I learned a lot from playing the character. I really enjoyed it.” amount.”

He continued: “I would only do it if I was right in terms of the age I am now and so on. I would only do it if I was right for the character. It would be foolish to do otherwise.”

Now, we have no idea if the film’s story will also involve Aragorn’s character, but since the film is a prequel of sorts, this would definitely be a young version of Aragorn if it were included.

We’ll just have to wait and see what kind of story this movie will tell!

Speaking about why they are telling this story, Jackson said: “The Gollum/Sméagol character has always fascinated me because Gollum reflects the worst of human nature, whereas the Sméagol side of him is, without a doubt, quite sympathetic.

“I think it resonates with both readers and movie audiences, because there’s a little bit of both in all of us. We really want to explore his past and delve into those parts of his journey that we haven’t had time to cover in the previous films.

“It’s too early to know who will cross his path, but suffice it to say, we’ll be taking a cue from Professor Tolkien.”
